Comparing specificities of two anti-TGM2 antibodies
In this application note, we put our combined protein and peptide microarray workflow to the test by comparing a mouse monoclonal and a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against human transglutaminase 2. The side-by-side data expose differences in specificity undetected by standard Western/IHC assays:
- The rabbit pAb bound unrelated proteins and failed to recognize canonical TGM2 isoform.
- The mouse mAb recognized a single N-terminal motif with seven conserved residues.
